The first 2022 Germany 2 euro commemorative coin was issued today.
The theme of the last coin in the "Federal States" series is "Thuringia".
The picture shows the view of Wartburg Castle in Eisenach from the bridge. Bottom center is the name of the federal state "THÜRINGEN" and the "D" for the issuing state. The year of issue "2022" can be seen above on the left, and the initials "OS" of the artist Olaf Stoy can be seen on the right. The twelve stars of the European flag are depicted on the outer ring of the coin.
